Latana T. Jackson, RCP

Latana T. Jackson, RCP, of Cedar Hill, is the Presiding Officer of the Texas Board of Respiratory Care. Jackson is director of Cardiopulmonary, EEG and Non-Invasive Cardiology at Baylor Scott & White Medical Center Irving. She volunteers with the Outreach Ministry at Antioch Baptist Church of Dallas and is a member of the American Association for Respiratory Care and the Texas Society of Respiratory Care. Jackson received a Bachelor of Arts in respiratory care from Texas State University and a Master of Business Administration from the University of Phoenix.

Samuel L. Brown, Jr., of Marshall, is the Assistant IT Manager and Network Administrator for Louis A. Williams & Associates. He previously served as a Computer Lab Technician at East Texas Baptist University. He is a former little league football and basketball coach with the Boys and Girls Club of America. Brown received a Bachelor of Science in Computer Information Systems from East Texas Baptist University and a Master of Science in Information Systems from Tarleton State University.

Tim R. “Tim” Chappell, M.D., of Plano, is a pulmonary and critical care physician in private practice at Collin County Pulmonary Associates. He is medical director of the School for Respiratory Care at Collin College. He is a fellow of both the American College of Physicians and the American College of Chest Physicians and a diplomate of the American Board of Internal Medicine with board certification in Internal Medicine, Pulmonary Disease and Critical Care Medicine. He is a member of the Texas Medical Association and Collin County Medical Society.  Chappell received a Bachelor of Science in biology and a Doctor of Medicine from the University of Nebraska. He completed his post graduate training at the University of Texas Southwestern Medical School and Parkland Hospital in Dallas.

Sam Gregory “Gregg” Marshall, Ph.D., RCP, of New Braunfels, is chair of the Department of Respiratory Care at Texas State University. He is former vice-president of the Texas Society of Sleep Professionals and a board member of the Coalition for Baccalaureate and Graduate Respiratory Therapy Education. He is also a member of the American Association for Respiratory Care, Texas Society of Respiratory Care, American Academy of Sleep Medicine and the American Association of Sleep Technologists. Marshall received a Bachelor of Science from Baylor University, Master of Science in healthcare administration from Texas State University and Doctorate of Education from The University of Texas at Austin.

Debra E. Patrick, RCP, of McKinney, is a respiratory care specialist for Publicis Touchpoint Solutions. She is a member of the American Association for Respiratory Care and the Texas Society of Respiratory Care. She is a former volunteer for the Baylor University Medical Center Inner City Asthma Camp and the Children’s Hospital Asthma Camp. She also served as vice president of the North Texas Asthma Consortium and was a board member of the Texas Association for Cardiovascular and Pulmonary Rehabilitation. Patrick received an Associate of Science in respiratory Care from Collin County Community College.

Shad J. Pellizzari, RCP, of Cedar Park, is a respiratory therapist for the Seton Family of Hospitals and a certified neonatal pediatric specialist. He is a member of the National Board of Respiratory Care and the Texas Society of Respiratory Care, where he formally served as president of the Capital Area District. He also volunteers as a coach with the Cedar Park Baseball Youth League and is a former Boy Scouts of America den leader. Pellizzari received an associate of Science degree in respiratory care from Texas State University and is currently completing his Bachelor of Science in respiratory care from Texas State University.

Kandace D. “Kandi” Pool, of San Angelo, is the executive vice president of the San Angelo Association of Realtors. She is a member of the National Association of Realtors and the Texas Association of Realtors and is a member and church secretary for College Hills Baptist Church. She is former president of the San Angelo Symphony Chorale and former director of the San Angelo Chamber of Commerce, and served as director and board secretary for the Women’s Job Corp and is past president of the Western Little League and district board member of the State of Texas Little League. Pool attended Howard College and Angelo State University.

Hammad Nasir Qureshi, M.D., of Tomball, is a Pulmonary and Critical Care Physician with Millennium Physicians, LLC. He is a member of the American College of Chest Physicians, American Thoracic Society, and the International Society of Heart and Lung Transplantation. Qureshi received a Bachelor of Medicine and a Bachelor of Surgery from King Edward Medical College. He completed fellowship in Pulmonary and Critical Care Medicine from Baylor College of Medicine – Houston.

Sonia K. Sanderson, of Beaumont, is a paralegal with Exxon Mobil Corporation Law Department. She is a member of the American Alliance of Paralegal, Inc. and a former member of the Southeast Texas Paralegal Association. Sanderson is also a volunteer with Julie Rogers’ Gift of Life Program and the United Way of Southeast Texas. Sanderson received a bachelor’s degree from Lamar University.
