  • Continuing Acupuncture Education Approved Provider Application Instructions

The Texas State Board of Acupuncture Examiners (TSBAE) requires a license holder to complete continuing education approved by the board biennially in order to maintain license registration renewal. Courses offered by approved providers may be used by a licensee to satisfy the CAE requirement.  Approved providers do not submit individual courses for approval by the TSBAE.  The Board rules regarding Approval of Continuing Education Courses and Providers can be found at http://www.tmb.state.tx.us/, under Laws & Rules, Chapter §184.18, Subchapter B Licensing and Registration.

    • One provider number is issued to an organization, and it is not transferable.
    • Approved Provider status is valid for three years.
    • Provider has certain responsibilities and duties as outlined in Board rules.

To apply for approved provider status:

    • Complete and submit the CAE Provider Approval Application with a $50 fee payable to the TSBAE.
    • Include the CAE courses that were approved by the board, with the date of approval for each course, to demonstrate three years’ previous experience providing approved CAE courses in Texas.
