Registration (Renewal) Eligibility Requirements are:

• An active license is required for on-line registration. If your license is delinquent, your license is in loan default, your license is suspended or your license has been cancelled by the Board, you are not eligible to register online.
• Registrations are not available on-line until 60-90 days prior to your current expiration date. If you cannot proceed with on-line registration, try again closer to your expiration date.
• Criminal history background checks through the Department of Public Safety and the Federal Bureau of Investigation are required for all current licensees and permit holders. The fingerprint background check will be required prior to the completion of your registration, unless you have already submitted fingerprints for a background check as part of your application process, or a previous registration. If this background check has not been completed, you are not eligible to register.
